LOWMAN, ID-- Boise County Sheriff has issued a Level 1 evacuation order for homes east of Grimes Pass Road, on the south side of the South Fork Payette River due to increased fire activity.
The community of Lowman also remains under a Level 1 evacuation.
Hot and dry conditions will continue Sunday through Tuesday. There is a slight chance of thunderstorms during late Sunday afternoon and evening, and gusty winds which may increase fire activity.
The Pioneer Fire is now 71,190 acres and 40% contained with 1,829 firefighters working on it.
Yesterday firefighters have responded to two illegal campfires. Campfire restrictions remain in place within the Boise National Forest.
Fire managers will hold a community meeting tonight at Lowman Emergency Services Building near mile marker 80 about 7 miles east of Lowman at 7 p.m.
