The Ada County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information from the public after an LDS temple currently under construction was vandalized.

The temple is located in the 700 block of N. Linder Road and deputies believe the vandalism occurred between 6 p.m. on Friday and noon on Saturday.

The vandals used black spray paint to cover the walls with graffiti which included racist symbols and anti-religious messages.

The vandals also emptied tubes of construction adhesive on the walls and floors of the building, causing at least $500 worth of damage.

This is not the first time that the area has been vandalized. In 2015, workers reported a welding unit and industrial saw had been stolen.

Anyone with information should call Det. Justin Elliot at (208) 577-3702.
