Tabetha Simmons and her son are enjoying the Labor Day weekend at one of their favorite Idaho staples, Bogus Basin.

“We nordic ski, we downhill skill, my kids are 13 and 11 and it’s kind of, we just love Bogus," said attendee Simmons.

Bogus Basin is offering special free programs for their visitors all weekend for the holiday, including lift rides for mountain bikers, guided tours and some mountain yoga.

“We have little kids, we have dogs even, and certainly some experienced yogis,” said studio owner of Shine Yoga Collective Susan Becker.

The yoga is intended to help athletes relax their minds and muscles over the holiday weekend.

“They really can benefit from yoga, helping them to break that up and opening their hips or stretching muscles," said Becker.

It's also the first weekend you can purchase ski passes and coaching sessions. While the weather is sunny and warm right now, these classes book up fast for the colder months,

“People are really eager to get their kids signed up for ski and snowboard classes and so getting those December January times that are early in the morning they’re highly desirable,” said Bogus Basin marketing manager Austin Smith.

After Labor Day, Bogus Basin is only open on weekends, as weather permits.
