Koenig Distillery has partnered with St. Luke's in order to mass produce hand sanitizer. The sanitizer will be made with potato vodka mixed with hydrogen peroxide, glycerin, and water.

The reasoning for the partnership it that St. Luke's realized that their existing supply would not support an anticipated increase in demand in the coming weeks.

Effective communication with the state, legal and hospital officials allowed for this plan to come together quickly and efficiently. Already 650 gallons of hand sanitizer has been made with plans to produce close to 2000 gallons this week.

Proprietor, Andrew Koenig stated "It's a service to the community. There will be plenty of time after we get through this to drink whiskey and bourbon, so right now we decided we would help St. Luke's and see that everybody stays safe and gets all the hand sanitizer that we can produce."

St. Luke's plans to distribute the sanitizer to hospitals and medical facilities across the state, where it's needed the most.
