HAPPENING TODAY: Idaho Fallen Firefighter ceremony

BOISE, Idaho — The public is invited to take part in the 11th annual Idaho Firefighter Memorial Ceremony today. The ceremony is dedicated to those who made the ultimate sacrifice while protecting the communities they serve.

The names of the fallen will be read during a roll call. Honor Guard from Boise, Nampa and Eagle are expected to be part of the ceremony. Boise Fire Fighters Pipes and Drums will also be at the ceremony.

The Idaho Fallen Firefighter memorial was established in 2008 and has a bronze sculpture and memorial wall honoring Idaho's fallen firefighters.

The ceremony starts at 2 p.m. at the Idaho Fallen Firefighter Memorial Park located at 1791 West Shoreline Drive in Boise.
