The Freak Alley Gallery in downtown Boise is getting a facelift. It's all part of an annual event, giving artists a chance to show off their talents. Organizers say over 70 artists from the treasure valley and beyond are showing their work for the world to see. They all just had 7 days to work on their pieces some are still finishing up the last minute details. It's the 6th year the free art gallery has held the event. But this is the first year they've been allowed to paint on the dumpsters.Organizers say they have close to 30 new artists this year. One says Boise is becoming a Mecca for the arts.
"Freak Alley has always been that way and it always had the art up here and Boise kind of adopting that, but Freak Alley has always been that constant," said artist Hannah Peterson.
