IDAHO COUNTY, Idaho — The FBI has finished a forensic examination of the remains of Shawnta L. Pankey. Pankey had been missing from Idaho County since April 15, 2018.
Her remains were recovered on May 5, 2019 near Buffalo Eddy on the Snake River. At this time, the Nez Perce County Coroner, Joshua Hall, and the Idaho County Sheriff's Office will not be releasing any of the FBI's report to the public.
Pankey's remains are expected to be turned over to family in the next few weeks.
