More than 90 Boise kids are now ready to start school thanks to the help of Family Advocates and donations from Albertsons.

Monday, Family Advocates opened their doors to kids in the CASA, BabySteps, Home Visiting and Parents Anonymous programs. These Boise area students are able to "shop" for the school supplies on their list.

"It's not one of those hassles where it's 'Oh mom, we need a receipt,' or, 'We need to see about what money we've got,''" Bambi Lopez, a mom in the BabySteps program, said. "They get a smorgasbord, I guess you could say. So they get to choose what they want. They get to be excited and feel like they're included on everything they want to get for themselves."

Supplies were collected through donation boxes at Albertsons locations throughout the Treasure Valley.

Family Advocates would like to extend a "Thank You" to Albertsons for their large donations to the program.
