You can't buy marijuana in the City of Ontario yet, but that didn't stop the community from hosting a cannabis celebration this weekend.

Today, the first ever Eastern Oregon Cannabis Festival is underway. Advocates are using the event to educate visitors about the different ways the cannabis plant can be used. Of course, as 6 On Your Side has reported, voters in Malheur County approved an ordinance last November that legalized the sale of recreational marijuana in Ontario.

The festival runs until 10:00 p.m. and costs five dollars to get in.
