BLACKFOOT, Idaho (AP) — A southeastern Idaho man has pleaded guilty to killing his wife.
Sixty-three-year-old Eugene Ralph Ruff of Aberdeen pleaded guilty Friday to second-degree murder in 6th District Court in the shooting death of 62-year-old Bettilee Paulie Ruff.
Authorities say that the couple had been drinking and got into an argument. After the shooting, police say Eugene Ruff called the Power County Sheriff’s Office and reported he had shot his wife.
Ruff faces a life sentence with at least 10 years in prison before he’s eligible for parole at his sentencing on April 8.
