A downtown Boise street closure will start Sunday night and last through the fall as part of St. Luke's ongoing development project.
Reserve St. is expected to be closed through at least October.
Starting Sunday crews will begin setting up detours, re-stripe traffic lanes and install temporary traffic lights. Those will be at the corner of 1st, State and Fort and on Ave. B and East Jefferson. Those will shift traffic and reduce lanes in some areas.
Traffic will be limited to one lane on Ave. B and Fort from Bannock to 2nd St.
There is a detour in place during the closure of Reserve, that runs from Ave. H to McKinley St. to Straughan St. to Warm Springs.
The closure and one-way traffic is expected to result in backups. Drivers are advised to avoid the area if possible or add extra time to their commute. Patients, visitors and staff at St. Luke's are urged to use the entrances off Idaho and Bannock.
