The developer of a proposed sports park in downtown Boise announced Thursday that it has chosen a different location.
Greenstone Properties was planning to build the Boise sports park at the intersection of Shoreline Drive and Americana Boulevard, but considered downtown Boise’s West End as a possible new location.
“There are more advantages for the sports park in the West End area, including better access and visibility, with fewer residential buildings and more commercial space in close proximity,” said Greenstone principal Chris Schoen.
As a result of this site change, Greenstone also announced that it had assigned the purchase contract for the St. Luke’s-owned and managed Shoreline/Americana properties to two other buyers.
No word yet on the time frame of the new proposed sports park.
