Thanksgiving traditions usually include turkey, football and naps-- but some folks around the Treasure Valley are stepping away from seconds and stepping out to try and nab a good deal.

We found a handful of people already lined up outside of Best Buy in Boise. Their doors open to Black Friday shoppers a day early, at 5 p.m. Thursday.

One man's determination for scoring bargains began as early as Wednesday night.

The only overnight camper in the bunch, he says he was surprised at the relatively meager turn-out.

"Last year there was at least a couple hundred people here," said Casey Landry, overnight camper. "The line went around the building. So I was kind of expecting a huge outpouring of people."

He says he participates every year, but this is the first time he's ever been first in line. Upon busting through the Best Buy doors, he's hoping to score a 43-inch Toshiba television at what he estimates will be about $300 off.
