BOISE, Ida. — The City of Boise is planning how to handle the property surrounding a new library project at Capitol and River Street.

Right now, the area serves several purposes, but the six parcels of land could be rezoned into a central business district. That means new businesses, like retail shops, restaurants, and even a parking garage, could move in.

The requests are set to be discussed at tonight's Planning and Zoning Committee meeting at Boise City Hall. The meeting starts at 6 p.m. following a work session and is open to the public.
