A traffic alert for commuters traveling near the damaged Cloverdale overpass bridge. Crews will demolish the bridge over Interstate 84 Monday night. All eastbound lanes and two westbound lanes of I-84 will be closed overnight. On Tuesday night, all westbound lanes and two eastbound lanes of I-84 will be closed from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Idaho State Police will be increasing patrols to promote safe driving in the work zone. The public is advised to stay out of the area because there may be hidden hazards. Pedestrian and bike traffic has been allowed, but after the demolition, that route will be unavailable.

Access to local businesses and residences on Cloverdale Road will remain open throughout the construction. The work will include general construction noise, dust, equipment backup alarms, and ground vibration. Most of the work will be between the hours of 7 a.m. and 8 p.m.

The Ada County Highway District and Idaho Transportation Department are working to replace and widen the bridge after it was damaged in a deadly accident last summer.
