MERIDIAN, Idaho — Starting Monday, City of Meridian administrative offices will be closed to the general public. Critical and emergency services such as police, fire, water and wastewater will continue to operate without interruption.

In an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19, City of Meridian asks customers to schedule appointments to conduct city business or utilize one of the virtual options available for most transactions. This decision comes after Governor Little’s roll back to a modified version of Stage 2 of the Idaho Rebounds Plan.

City parks remain open to the public at this time and park-goers are reminded that some park areas see frequent use. Visitors should follow published CDC guidelines and take necessary precautions when using these facilities.

“Throughout the pandemic, we have worked diligently to implement protocols and technology that prepare us for the impacts of COVID-19,” said Mayor Robert Simison. “Our staff is committed to upholding our premier service levels. Business just looks a little different to ensure the health and safety of the community.”
