CANYON COUNTY, Ida. — Canyon County Sheriff's deputies are investigating after a body was discovered in the Boise River.
Dispatchers say the discovery was made around 3 p.m. on July 4. Kayakers called to report the body that deputies later found a half mile west of the Lansing Lane river access area.
The Canyon County Coroner has identified the body as the 19-year-old man, Ezekiel Vargas, who went missing while swimming with his friends in the Boise River near Star in early June.
