The Caldwell Police Department is continuing to raise money for one of their fallen brethren. Officer Chad Register recently passed away after a long battle with cancer.
The police department has been doing their part to lessen the burden on his family by raising money to help offset the cost of past medical bills.
You can buy rubber bracelets at the police station for two dollars and make a donation at any C.L. Evans bank, just ask for the Chad Register Fund. Officers say Chad was a true brother to them.
"We like to support each other and we're doing everything we can to make sure that Chad isn't forgotten, he is going to be remembered forever around here," said Lieutenant Joey Hoadley of the Caldwell Police Department.
The police department will also be holding a benefit golf tournament for officer register's family next Thursday.
