A Caldwell man is scheduled to appear in Canyon County court after being accused of shooting a 51-year-old Nampa man in the leg.
At approximately 3:45 p.m. on April 18th, Canyon County Deputies along with officers from the Caldwell Police Department responded to a shooting on the 2600 block of Ustick Road in Caldwell.
When police arrived, they determined that the victim and suspect had left the area following a verbal altercation.
One of the subjects during the argument pulled out a gun and shot the other man in the leg.
A short time later, the 51-year-old victim checked into the West Valley ER with a single gunshot wound to his leg.
His injuries are non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect, identified as twenty-year-old Tanner Ford of Caldwell was taken into custody approximately one hour after the shooting and has been since charged with aggravated battery.
