BOISE, ID – The cooler temperatures and heavy rainfall helped contain the Buck Fire.
The Boise National Forest reported that the Buck Fire is now 95 percent contained.
The fire area received 0.3 inches of rain in the past 24 hours, further subduing the minimal fire activity experienced over the past few days. Firefighters are still on the fire and are finishing mop-up operations and hauling out equipment.
Road closures remain in effect at this time, yet access to Deadwood Reservoir and most of the surrounding recreation areas remain open to the public.
