UPDATE: The elderly man found walking alone in Boise has been reunited with his family. Officers were unable to identify the man due to language barriers, but with assistance from a BPD refugee liaison, the man was safely taken home.

Boise police officers are trying to locate the family of an elderly man found walking near the intersection of Northview Street and Milwaukee around 6:00 p.m. Sunday night.

After speaking with the man, officers were unable to determine the man's name or where he lives. A language barrier made communication difficult.

He was found walking on the 8200 block of Cory Court.

He's described as elderly, possibly in his 70's, walks with a cane, and is roughly 5'2" and 100 pounds.

He is wearing an orange stocking cap and gray sweats.

If you know who this man is, contact the Boise Police Department at 377-6790.
