A man shot in north Ada County after allegedly pointing a gun at an officer has had his bond set at $500,000 according to court records.
Kenneth Frank Morehouse has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon or instrument without the intent to kill following an incident at a home in the Hidden Springs neighborhood.
Officers say when they got on scene Morehouse and another person were inside the home. That’s when officers say Morehouse pointed the gun at a deputy and the deputy fired at the man, hitting him once in the shoulder.
Morehouse was treated and released from a local hospital and has been booked into the Ada County Jail on the aggravated assault charge.
Deputy Cory Feldman, who opened fire on Morehouse, has been with the Ada County Sheriff’s Office since 2001.
Morehouse will appear in court on March 2nd for a preliminary hearing.
