A Boise woman has been charged with providing police with false information after she told officers a stranger sexually assaulted her.
Boise Police say 25-year-old Patricia Crosby-White told police she was in her car on May 1 in a parking lot near south Vinnell way and west Overland road when a man forced his way into her car, made her to drive to another location, and sexually assaulted her.
Crosby-White now faces a misdemeanor charge of filing a false report to authorities, police say.
After an investigation, police determined Crosby-White knew the man and had planned to meet at that location.
Ada County prosecutors decided not to file charges against the man.
