Boise woman arrested after police say she physically abused 6 children

BOISE, Idaho — A Boise woman is in the Ada County Jail after an investigation where detectives learned of six physical abuse victims.

According to the Ada County Jail roster, Angel Hibbard, 29, has six charges of Felony Injury to Child. Her bail is set at $75,000.

A news release from BPD says police started an investigation into possible physical abuse involving children in the care of Hibbard in November 2020. Detectives learned of six victims of physical abuse during the investigation.

The release says BPD worked to contact any additional victims and their families while investigating. Police also worked with Health and Welfare to ensure the safety of the children involved.

The investigations were sent to the Ada County Prosecutor's Office to review charges, and a warrant was issued for Hibbard's arrest. According to the release, she was arrested by the United States Marshal's Greater Idaho Fugitive Task Force without incident on December 31, 2020.
