Amidst all the excitement of Boise State homecoming festivities, was another special event tonight.
Located directly across Albertson's Stadium, The Alumni and Friends Center had its grand opening.
The new center was privately funded by donations to the university. Boise State President, Bob Kustra took center stage to welcome alumni and sponsors.
"And to think that for so many years, they just about did it out of a garage. That's about all that was here, was a garage and now we have this magnificent building that is a tribute to the work, to the support of our alumni," said Dr. Bob Kustra, Boise State University President.
Tours were offered immediately after the ribbon cutting. There was also tailgating and of course a Boise State watch party inside.
