A Boise man has been arrested after police say robbed a man at knifepoint.

About 9:50 p.m. on Saturday, September 9th, Boise Police officers were dispatched to an armed robbery at a business on the 6800 block of State Street.

The victim told investigators he was robbed by a man wielding a large knife. He described the suspect as a white man wearing a red bandanna over his face, a gray hoodie, and gray shorts.

According to a Boise Police news release, a witness saw the suspect leave in a vehicle -- and gave police both a description of the vehicle and its license plate number.

A short time later, officers found the suspect’s vehicle and initiated a traffic stop near 36th and Plant Streets.

They arrested Dustin Drake, 22, of Boise for felony robbery.

Officers were able to recover some of the evidence items that were thrown from the suspect’s vehicle before the traffic stop, but are still looking for a few other items, the release said.  Police are asking anyone who lives near State Street, Gary Lane, Hill Road and Collister Drive to be on the lookout for a charcoal-gray or dark-colored hoody sweatshirt and a red bandanna-type cloth.

Anyone with information about these items -- or the suspect -- is asked to call Crime Stoppers: at 208-343-COPS (2677), www.343COPS.com, or leave a tip using the “P3 Tips” app for your mobile device.
