The body of a 61-year-old man was found in an Eagle canal Tuesday, according to the Ada County Coroner.
Authorities say the man, identified as John Michael Showalter, was found near the intersection of east Plaza Drive and east Iron Eagle Drive. The coroner says Showalter didn't have a "fixed address" but family has been notified of his death.
The cause and manner of death are pending toxicology results, but the coroner says no traumatic injuries were identified during the autopsy and foul play is not suspected.
The case is under investigation.
