BOISE, Idaho — State Representative John Gannon is hosting a informational forum on the proposed Central Bench Urban Renewal District.
Discussion will include "significant issues" on the Bench, including more density and the loss of open space, increased vehicle traffic, increased rents and transportation issues.
Gannon, along with representatives from the Idaho State Tax Commission, neighborhood associations and the Capitol City Development Corporation are expected at the forum.
This is an opportunity to learn about and understand the issues around the proposed Central Bench Urban Renewal District. The plan is to convert the commercial property along Vista, Latah, Orchard and Curtis to urban renewable districts.
The forum is taking place Wednesday, May 29 from 6 PM to 8 PM at South Junior High School.
