Idaho State Police say alcohol was a factor in a rollover crash that put three people in the hospital early Sunday morning.

Police say 24-year-old Christopher Howe was driving east on I-84 just prior to the Eisenman Road exit east of Boise when he moved to the left lane to pass another vehicle. As Howe was changing back into the right lane, he overcorrected and went off the right shoulder of the road. His 2012 Ford Focus rolled and came to rest on its wheels.

Officers say Howe and both his passengers, Austin Shaff and Sean Sterling, were taken to the hospital by ground ambulance. All three were wearing seatbelts.

Labor Day Weekend marks the end of what officers call the "100 deadliest days" on the road.
