8th grader prepares 50 suitcases with basics, surprises for Boise Rescue Mission customers

Randy Funk, an 8th Grader, helped prepare 50 suitcases, packed with basics and even surprises, for customers at the Boise Rescue Mission.

"It makes a lot of difference," says Funk of his SOS Suitcase Drive. 

It's his 5th annual service project, saying he does the work as a function of his relgious faith.  He says a Postal Express location helped him collect donated luggage from customers.

it's his 6th such project -- having held 4 food drives and one sock drives.

"Each one has everything a person would need like clothes, winter clothes, toiletries and things like that.  And each one has a few special gifts, too."
