Sad news today from the Boise Police Department.
A Boise boy who became known as "Officer Rashid" has passed away. The eight-year-old boy was battling cancer... and in August was sworn in as an honorary officer with the Boise Police Department. He then helped the police solve a crime... leading him to return the sacred hammer to the Boise State Broncos football team.
The police department took to twitter today... Saying quote - "With heavy hearts officers learned today they had lost their brother, Officer Rashid. RIP Rashid, we have the watch"
The football team also took to social media sharing a photo with the message -- "Once a Bronco, always a Bronco. Thank you, and RIP Officer Rashid"
