The local chapter of Canine Companions for Independence joined Good Morning Idaho Thursday with some great news. Three Treasure Valley residents, including Josiah Sullivan, just received their trained assistance dogs.

Denise Kimpson and Yoana, Sullivan and Dwight, and puppy Marigold all stopped by the studio.

You can learn more about the organization by attending the Canine Companions for Independence Meet and Greet informational event Thursday, June 21. It's at Larry H. Miller Subaru on West Fairview in Boise from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. You'll be able to meet some of the recipients of the assistance dogs, and the people who raise them.
