BOISE, Idaho — 33-year-old Boise man, Noah S. Schroder was taken to a hospital Jan. 17 after allegedly swallowing drugs while driving away from a traffic stop. He led Ada County Sheriff’s deputies on for almost an hour in east Boise is now facing multiple felonies.

While the man was not placed under arrest he was to be placed under Ada County Sheriff's custody following his medical examination. According to Ada County Sheriff's, "there was a communication mixup the next day and Schroder was released from a local hospital before deputies could get him back into custody". Deputies worked closely with Ada County prosecutors to create and then issue an arrest warrant specifying all the charges against Schroder.

Schroder is charged with felony counts of aggravated assault on law enforcement personnel, aggravated assault, possession of a controlled substance, eluding a peace officer, destruction of evidence, and misdemeanor counts of leaving the scene of an accident involving vehicle damage and resisting arrest in connection with the incident.

He is set to make his initial court appearance Wednesday afternoon.
