TWIN FALLS, Idaho — One of eastern Idaho's largest employers is making changes to ensure its workers can vote. Yogurt maker Chobani says it will give all employees a paid half-day off on election day, November 3.
Employees with Chobani can also take an entire day of paid volunteer time if they choose to serve as a poll worker or engage in other non-partisan election activities.
The move comes after Chobani, and more than 800 other companies, joined the "Time to Vote" campaign. It's a non-partisan effort to ensure voters don't have to choose between their jobs and a trip to the voting booth.
