ARCO, Idaho — Staff at the Craters of the Moon National Monument will resume regular operations on Wednesday, January 30, now that the government has re-opened.

Workers will use the next few days to plow snow, groom the winter trail and prepare the visitor center.

Snowshoe walks and other winter interpretive activities will also begin again this week.

In a press release, the chief of operations said his staff are "happy to be back at work, serving the American people and welcoming visitors to their national parks."
