Caldwell woman dies in early morning Nampa crash

NAMPA, Idaho — Idaho State Police are investigating a single-car crash that left a 21-year-old Caldwell woman dead early Saturday morning.

Police say they were called to the intersection of Joe Lane and Robinson Road, near Nampa, areound 5:00 a.m. Saturday.

Investigators say Adrianna Valdez, 21, of Caldwell, ID, was driving a 2007 Mazda pickup northbound on Robinson Road when she lost control of the car, went off the left shoulder of the road, and struck a telephone pole.

Valdez was ejected from the vehicle and died from her injuries at the scene of the crash. Next of kin has been notified.

Authorities say Valdez was not wearing a seatbelt.

Robinson Road was blocked between Victory Road and Airport Road for approximately three and a half hours. The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
