BOISE, Idaho — 6 On Your Side has confirmed that BYU Idaho has sent an email to students informing them it will reverse its recent decision that Medicaid coverage would not meet its health insurance requirement.
According to that email, students covered by Medicaid and Idaho's Medicaid expansion will now meet the university requirement. However, the university's Health Center has not been, and will not become, a Medicaid service provider.
In the email, the university apologized for the "turmoil" caused by the prior decision and urged students to call the Student Health Center at (208) 496-9330 with any questions.
