NAMPA, ID — Underprivileged men, women, and children were served hot meals today, along with holiday entertainment and Christmas gifts at Boise Rescue Mission's Christmas Banquet.

Smiles spread across the faces of underprivileged and homeless children as they were treated to balloon animals, visits with Mr. and Mrs. Claus, and toys donated by local residents through the 9th annual Toys for Tots drive.

"It's not through a buffet line-- so you get to sit and you get to be served. And that's very important. And it's important that every child have one or two or three new toys at Christmas," said Briana Leclaire, Director, Women and Children's Ministries.

Participating families were asked to provide the ages of their children, and volunteers filled the bags with donated unwrapped toys accordingly.
