A woman is in critical condition following a garage fire and explosion, according to Nampa Fire Marshal Phil Roberts.
Dispatchers were informed of a garage fire on the 400 block of Rocklan Court in Nampa at approximately 4:15 p.m.
When first responders arrived, an off-duty firefighter was found at the scene rendering aid to a victim. The fire was quickly extinguished before it spread to the home.
The woman was taken to the hospital and crews are investigating what happened.
