A man and woman have died as a result of an early morning mobile home fire in Mountain Home.

Mountain Home Fire Department crews were dispatched to an address off NW Lancaster Street shortly before 2 a.m. Monday. Arriving on scene, they found a mobile home engulfed in flames.

Once the fire was out, crews found the bodies of a man and woman in a back bedroom area.

Their names have not yet been released.

The Mountain Home Fire Department, the Elmore County Sheriff's Office, and the State Fire Marshall are conducting an investigation.

The cause of death has not yet been determined.

"On behalf of the Mountain Home Fire Department, we want to express our sincere condolences to the family. We know and understand that this incident will forever change the lives of all involved, to include all emergency personnel who responded.
