The Idaho Department of Commerce has agreed to reimburse 30 percent of grocery chain Albertsons' state taxes for the next 15 years under a plan intended to promote job growth in Idaho.

The Idaho Statesman reports that Albertsons is expanding its Boise headquarters, which will result in creating 300 new jobs and $38 million in additional state tax revenue. The average job salary is expected to be roughly $71,100.

The Albertsons expansion is one of 30 projects that have been approved under the state's tax incentive program.

Gov. C.L. "Butch" Otter said in a prepared statement that Albertsons' expansion was exactly the type of job growth the tax incentive was designed to help.
