Meridian Police investigating carjacking of 89-year-old-woman

Meridian Police are looking into a carjacking of an 89-year-old woman near the area of Touchmark Village. Around 11:00 a.m. the suspect sat up in the back seat of her car and demanded the car and money. The woman stopped and got out of the car near Touchmark and Worth Way.  

The Suspect then handed the victim her cane and a bottle of water before speeding off. 

The car is described as a 2000 4-door Mercury Sable with a license plate of 1A PX778.

The suspect is described as a dark skinned Hispanic or black male, 28 to 40 years old and approximately 5' 10".

Meridian Police say there is the possibility the suspect is Marco Romero wanted for the shooting of two people on November 8th. 

If you see Romero of the vehicle contact police immediately he is considered armed and dangerous.
