A Meridian man is in the Ada County Jail, charged with felony aggravated battery, after police say he attacked another man.
Boise Police were dispatched to a home in the 1900 block of Penninger Drive shortly after 10 p.m. Wednesday.
Witnesses told officers two men who know each other became involved in an argument, with one man attacking the other.
“Evidence indicates the suspect (later identified as James Raines, 55) began attacking the victim with what was described as a metal spike or fire poker-type object, hitting him several times,” according to a Boise Police Department news release. The victim ran to safety.
The officers were able to locate the Raines and take him into custody, the report said.
Raines was transported to the Ada County Jail.
