A man involved in a fatal stabbing outside of the Torch Lounge in Boise on October 16th, 2014, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison.

Phillip DeWayne Law pleaded guilty to aiding/abetting voluntary manslaughter and aiding/abetting aggravated battery following the death of 35-year-old Humberto Herrera.

Law and his accomplice, Parley Ward, were involved with a fight involving Herrera and a fourth man.

Witnesses told police that the fight started between both groups of men after a dispute involving a cab.

The fight was broken up by security.

After the initial argument, Ward and Law left in a vehicle but later returned after circling back into the rear parking lot of the nightclub.

Ward reportedly put Herrera in a chokehold and stabbed him in the chest while Law fought the other man.

Both men fled on foot following the stabbing and police found Ward and Law hiding underneath a ramp of a portable classroom on the grounds of an elementary school shortly before 4 AM.

Ward will appear in court for sentencing on May 10th, 2016 at 10:00 a.m.
