Five people and their 5 dogs are safe after an overnight explosion in their home on North Clarence Lane, just off of Airport Road. Police say the explosion happened Wednesday just before midnight and damaged a bedroom, bathroom and one of the exterior walls.
Two of the men in the house were taken to the hospital with burn related injuries, though 6 On Your Side hasn't heard how badly they were burned.
Firefighters rescued one of the dogs from the house. None of the animals were hurt.
Family members who live nearby quickly showed up to the house ready to help. The fire department will also be looking into the burnout fund to help the people living in the house.
