The Eastern Idaho Critical Incident Task Force is investigating a fatal shooting involving an officer and St. Anthony man.
60-year-old David Alma Giles died at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in the morning hours of March 18th after having an altercation with a Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office deputy.
The deputy was initially responding to a 911 call regarding a medical issue along U.S. Highway 20.
At 6:55 p.m., the deputy arrived with Giles at the EIRMC parking lot when an altercation occurred and Giles was shot and killed.
No further information was released.
