A person has been taken to the hospital by helicopter following a shooting in Gem County.
The incident was reported at approximately 11 AM at a home near Kathy Street and Daniel Street. The call was originally reported as a medical call and when personnel arrived at the scene, they found a male victim in front of a home with a gunshot wound.
Multiple homes were evacuated while SWAT and police agencies attempted to make contact with a woman inside of the home.
After nearly eight hours, police entered the home and found a woman with a self-inflicted gunshot wound inside.
Police did not release the identities of the people involved.
