The Caldwell community is coming together to help a well-known community member struck with serious health issues.

Mitchell Kelly, The Bird Stop owners' oldest son, has been serving up coffee and cocktails at the well-known coffee shop for years.

Last week, Mitchell suffered a minor stroke which led to the discovery of a brain tumor.

With a rocky road ahead and mounting medical bills, the community has organized a fundraiser to help cover the cost of surgery and treatment.

The Bird House will be selling coffee, cocktails and food again on Friday, March 25, from 3:00-9:00p.m. with all proceeds going to help the Kelly family.
