Boise Police say they have found a man and woman linked to a reported attempted kidnapping and say it appears the whole situation was a misunderstanding.
Police were called to the scene of Cottonwood Park near Eagle and McMillan Sunday afternoon after reports a man and woman in an SUV tried to convince three young children to get in their vehicle. They did take a five-year-old girl but parents and neighbors stopped them, that girl was safe with family Sunday night.
After tracking down that SUV Sunday night and talking with the couple police say it looks like a misunderstanding but have not elaborated on what exactly that means. There are no arrests or charges at this time.
Boise Police thanked the public for their help with this incident and say the investigation is ongoing.
