A man and woman have been injured in a shooting at a Meridian apartment complex and police say the suspect is still on the run. Meridian  Police say it happened inside one of the units at the Cherry Lane apartment complex on the 300 block of E. Gruber just after 10:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

Police believe 33-year -old Marco Romero of Nampa shot a 29-year-old male and 29-year-old  female multiple times before fleeing the scene.  They say the male victim's injuries are not life threatening but the woman is in critical condition.

Police say Romero knew the victims and was invited into the home by a family member. They say Romero attempted to shoot that person but missed.  Witnesses tell police Romero was behaving erratically before the shooting. Authorities are asking the public to call police if they see him. He is considered armed and dangerous.

"Just due to the fact of his violent behavior and his erratic behavior  that has been reported to us we do believe he is armed and dangerous. If you see Romero you need to contact the Meridian Police Department or your local police so we can deal with that suspect, “said Deputy Chief Tracy Basterrechea of the Meridian Police Department.

Police say Romero was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and jeans. They don't know if ran away on foot or sped off in a car.
